Arlington Ridge is a quiet, residential enclave nestled in the hillsides of southern Arlington. This community’s elevated location along the hills that run from Rosslyn to Four Mile Run offers fabulous views of Washington, D.C., and the surrounding areas.
This community, like many in the capital region, had a vast boom during the early to mid-20th century as the postwar government needed more housing for the employees flocking to the area. Many of the homes in Arlington Ridge were built from the 1920s to the 1950s and gave the neighborhood a historic, charming feel.
Arlington Ridge is one of the most sought-after neighborhoods in the greater DC area for a good reason. It boasts excellent local schools, great spots for recreation, and a truly idyllic atmosphere.

Nearby Metro stations in Crystal City and Pentagon City make it easy for Arlington Ridge residents to access DC and the surrounding areas for work and recreation alike.

Sparrow Room near Pentagon City serves Chinese small plates and mains like cabbage spring rolls and black bean clams. Brewpub
Nighthawk Brewery and Pizza specializes in Midwestern-style tavern pies and deep-dish Detroit pizzas. This laidback Arlington-area eatery has an extensive list of beers, all of which are brewed on-site.

McNamara’s Pub and Restaurant serves innovative Irish tavern fare in a bright, vibrant dining space. With mains like Irish nachos and sausage rolls, McNamara’s is a great spot for a meal after work or for watching a game on one of its many screens.
Beauty, Champagne, & Sugar Boutique, located in National Landing, is a unique blend of a wine bar, bistro, bottle shop, and boutique. The shop portion of this establishment features handmade, artisan goods by local female entrepreneurs. Patrons can participate in wine tastings and purchase bottles of their favorite blends. During the warmer months, visitors can take a seat on the gorgeous patio for small plates, light meals, dessert, and wine.

With over 20 acres of cultivated and natural land,
Virginia Highlands Park is an expansive park in the Arlington Ridge area. This park has plenty of fields and courts for baseball, softball, basketball, tennis, soccer, volleyball, and lacrosse. And families will love the spray ground and large, engaging children’s play structure.
Fort Scott Park features several athletic fields and courts with facilities for baseball, softball, basketball, and tennis. The park also has tennis practice walls available for residents to hone their game. There is a nature trail, a paved walking trail, picnic areas, and a playground in Fort Scott Park.
The
Army Navy Country Club is just outside Arlington Ridge. This prestigious private club has a championship-level golf course, fantastic tennis courts, an expansive aquatic center, and a state-of-the-art fitness facility. Members can participate in several social events organized by the club throughout the year.
The Birchmere, located in nearby Alexandria, is one of the region’s premiere concert halls. This historic theater hosts some of the biggest acts in country, folk, and rock music.
